Mrs,Kenney, this is the school nurse...

As Colton and I were playing this morning I got a phone call that said...

"Mrs.Kenney, this is the school nurse. There is not an emergency but Cooper has fallen on the playground and cut his hand in a few places. There is blood on his shirt and shorts, do you mind bringing him some clean clothes. But bring them to the office because Ms.Katie doesn't want him to see you or he would probably want to come home."

So I grabbed some clothes and Colton and I went to the school. Colt got so excited when we pulled up, he thought it was time to get Pooper, as he calls him. So I had to try to explain to my almost 2 yr. old it wasn't time and that we would be back in a few hours.

I am not sure how many more calls I will get from the school nurse but I received my first one today and I am just glad he is ok. She said he was very brave and got a Spiderman bandaid! More stories to come I am sure...

School

Cooper had the biggest smile on his face when I got out of the car and walked to where he was standing with his teacher and the assistant. He gave me a quick hug, didn't want to look too happy to see me, then we got in the car and he talked non-stop the whole way home about what he did and how much fun he had.

He goes to Brighton Elem and their mascot is a Cardinal. That is one thing that he has been so excited about, so they took them on a tour of the school and while they were in the gym they showed them a cardinal painted on the wall. They told them his name was Kirby and Cooper raised his hand and said, thats our mascot. As he is smiling so big he says, "My teacher ran over to me and gave me a high five b/c I knew what a mascot was!!" I think that was the highlight of his day. I will post more about our schooling adventures but he had a great first day!

1st Day of School

Cooper started PreK today at Brighton Elementary School. I cannot believe he is that old. He looked so handsome today and here are a few pics of him before we left. I will write later about his experience. The pics are kind of blurry. It was foggy out.
