Having fun with our Boys

Cooper loves to slide and fly in the air with Daddy. Colton was in a great mood so we got some good pictures of him. Thank you Savannah.

Four Generations

Last night we were able to go to Jon's parents house to see his Grandparents who were in town from North Carolina. Here is a pic of them with our boys. It's so neat for Cooper and Colton to be able to spend time with their Great Grandparents, Barney and Mary Beers.

It's Been A While

Well it has been a while since I last posted anything. Just an update on us...we are in the middle of completely redoing our kitchen. We are painting now then painted our cabinets, getting new countertops, getting tile floor, putting up a tile back splash and getting all matching appliances. I have no idea how long this whole process will take but I am ready for it to be done. Painting with the boys here during the day is kinda difficult and I really don't think we should be smelling this everyday :) I am so excited about the way it will look when we are all finished! Then its time to paint the living room and the master bedroom and bath! I don't think we will have any free time for a while. We are doing good. I just cannot believe that my baby boy will be 3 years old this month!!! Life goes by so fast. Well I just wanted to give everyone an update on us.

4 Months Old

Well my baby is 4 months old today! I cannot believe how fast he is growing!! He got his 4 shots and the doctor said he looks great. We have started introducing rice cereal to him and he does not like it one bit! Cooper didn't care for it either so we will move on to oatmeal probably. I just cannot believe he is sitting in a high chair eating big boy food! Feels like yesterday that it was Cooper. But we are all doing great and I love all my boys more everyday!!

Intimacy

I just wanted to share some of this that I think everyone needs to hear, God does not desire activity, He desires Intimacy. So many Christians think that the more they do, the more they are being obedient to God. But we forget that the goal is the relationship and that obedience is the fruit of your life if you focus on the relationship. But most of the time pride gets in the way. But James 4:6 says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." We have to fall on our face and say, I cannot do this, no good thing dwells in me, I need you! And that is humility. This is something really neat that I got from Vance Pitman years ago.

We sin because we don't love God - we don't love God because we don't know God - we don't know God because we don't spend time with God - we don't spend time with God because we don't see the need - we don't see the need because of PRIDE.
James 4:6 God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
If we are humble then God gives us grace - with grace we see the need - once we see the need, we spend time with God - once we spend time with God we begin to know Him - once we get to know Him, we will love Him - if we love him OBEDIENCE naturally follows.

This is just something that I want you to think about.

My Boys

Anna Katherine Perdue

Our Pastor and his wife live just 2 miles away from us and with her being 9 months pregnant we told them to call us and we would take care of their 2 boys, Jake and Judd, if she went into labor in the middle of the night. Last night I got a call from Stephanie about 10pm saying she might be in labor and when the phone rang again at 12:37am I knew that it was the real deal! So I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth and arrived at their house by 12:45. They left a few minutes after I got there and arrived at the hospital about 1:20. Not more than 30 minutes later she gave birth to the sweetest little girl, Anna Katherine Perdue at 1:54am. No time for any drugs, Stephanie did awesome!!!!! I am very proud of her and I am very thankful for their friendship.
