4 Months Old

Well my baby is 4 months old today! I cannot believe how fast he is growing!! He got his 4 shots and the doctor said he looks great. We have started introducing rice cereal to him and he does not like it one bit! Cooper didn't care for it either so we will move on to oatmeal probably. I just cannot believe he is sitting in a high chair eating big boy food! Feels like yesterday that it was Cooper. But we are all doing great and I love all my boys more everyday!!

Intimacy

I just wanted to share some of this that I think everyone needs to hear, God does not desire activity, He desires Intimacy. So many Christians think that the more they do, the more they are being obedient to God. But we forget that the goal is the relationship and that obedience is the fruit of your life if you focus on the relationship. But most of the time pride gets in the way. But James 4:6 says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." We have to fall on our face and say, I cannot do this, no good thing dwells in me, I need you! And that is humility. This is something really neat that I got from Vance Pitman years ago.

We sin because we don't love God - we don't love God because we don't know God - we don't know God because we don't spend time with God - we don't spend time with God because we don't see the need - we don't see the need because of PRIDE.
James 4:6 God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
If we are humble then God gives us grace - with grace we see the need - once we see the need, we spend time with God - once we spend time with God we begin to know Him - once we get to know Him, we will love Him - if we love him OBEDIENCE naturally follows.

This is just something that I want you to think about.

My Boys

Anna Katherine Perdue

Our Pastor and his wife live just 2 miles away from us and with her being 9 months pregnant we told them to call us and we would take care of their 2 boys, Jake and Judd, if she went into labor in the middle of the night. Last night I got a call from Stephanie about 10pm saying she might be in labor and when the phone rang again at 12:37am I knew that it was the real deal! So I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth and arrived at their house by 12:45. They left a few minutes after I got there and arrived at the hospital about 1:20. Not more than 30 minutes later she gave birth to the sweetest little girl, Anna Katherine Perdue at 1:54am. No time for any drugs, Stephanie did awesome!!!!! I am very proud of her and I am very thankful for their friendship.

New Camera...

Today I am sitting and looking out the window for Mr.UPS to bring me my new camera! I have been without since before Colton was born and it really upsets me that I do not have near as many pics of him as a baby that I do of Cooper. So today when I get my new one Colton doesn't know it yet but he will have a photo shoot this afternoon! :) He started rolling over on Easter Sunday and that was really neat. Cooper thinks its funny, not sure why, but he is actually moving now so Cooper loves to watch! I will post some pics on here as soon as I get a chance!

We're In

We are finally in our new house. After a little bit of drama we closed on Friday the 21st and moved in that night. We are finally settled on the inside with all the furniture and things like that but the garage is still packed full with boxes that we have the great joy of going through and putting stuff where it belongs. That is not fun at all to me! I would rather stay inside and pretend that the garage is clean!!! :) Cooper loves his playroom and loves to run like crazy in the backyard with Griz. Colton really has no clue that we even moved so that is good! He is growing so fast and started rolling over on Easter Sunday so that was neat! Our lives have calmed down quite a bit moving out here which has been very nice and we love just spending time together! We have many projects still to do, like tear down all the wallpaper, but I am really in no hurry. We will get to it when we can. Thats our lives in a nutshell at the moment!

Spring - My Favorite Time of Year

I love the spring! My birthday happens to be the 1st offical day of spring and I love that!! I love when we can open the windows and play outside to the warm day and the cool evenings! I cannot wait for Spring to get here this year because we will be living in our new house. I cannot wait to see how our lives calm down a bit as we get settled outside of the busy city that we have been living in all our lives. We are so blessed to be where we are right now in our lives. Our boys have blessed us more than we ever dreamed and I honestly don't know what we did without them in our family. I am more in love with my husband than I ever have been and I am so thankful that I get to spend the rest of my days with him taking care of me! He is the perfect example of a provider to our children. I pray that my boys will have as good as a work ethic as their father. As for me, I am striving daily to be a better wife and mom to my family. I think the role that I have in this family is very important and I want to provide a loving and fun atmosphere in my home. Needless to say I CANNOT WAIT TILL MARCH 21ST, the day we close on our house!!!
