The Lord is our Protector

This morning was starting out as a normal day in the Kenney house. Jon got up to run and was back home by 6 and the boys were already awake but they play in their room till 7. Around 6:30 he was going to get in the shower but was on his was upstairs to tell the boys to calm down and let them go in the playroom for the next 30 minutes. As he was almost to the door he heard a huge crash. He opened the door and their solid oak dresser was flat on the ground. Cooper was standing there looking shocked and Jon asked him where his brother was and he pointed to the dresser. Jon threw the dresser up and there was Colton underneath everything! I think his heart stopped and he came running down the stairs with him. His head was bleeding and he was just screaming. When they came into our room I asked what happened and when I looked at him his eyes were rolling back into his head so I was yelling his name and telling him to stay with us! At this point we throw clothes on and drive an hour to LeBonheur. We got right in and within 30 minutes we had seen the doctor. He said the cuts on his head were not deep enough for stitches and that they wanted to do a CAT scan to be sure nothing internally was wrong. Jon was allowed to go back with him and he said it was terrible, they had to strap him down to the table and do the scan. A few hours later they came back and said he was perfect! So we left with a few cuts on his head and some bruises on his face but PRAISE THE LORD that is all that was wrong. I know that my God protected my little boy this morning!!! What a Mighty God we serve!

Hopefully next time we are in a hospital we will be meeting our sweet Caden!

my goodness. my heart stopped when i read this. i'm so glad that Colton is ok. Praise the Lord for His protection over little Colton.

i've always been scared to move Jack to a room where he won't be in a crib & able to pull the dresser over on himself. this just reaffirmed to me that it will NOT happen! i'm gonna bolt that thing to the wall & the floor.

i'm so glad you are all ok. so sorry that happened!
love you!
